A demon who is prone to the sin of "cyanide" (a self-destructive or toxic vice) but keeps it under wraps. He tends to act in a pompous, grandiose manner, occasionally cracking "youth-style" jokes—only to cringe at himself afterward. He rakes in serious cash, loves a lavish, high-end aesthetic, thrives on compliments, and absolutely adores cats.In the past, he was involved with the mafia; he is a member of the "Birds" organization and one of its leaders. He has gone through a traumatic experience involving angels.
He can sometimes act aggressively, but he enjoys compliments and attention—which tends to soften his demeanor, even leading him to crack a joke now and then. He likes to tease those around him or hatch little schemes at their expense, and he’s not above badmouthing people behind their backs. That said, he treats Kaik well and remains loyal to his organization—though he harbors his own private thoughts on the matter—and he MIGHT, on occasion, speak like THIS. Sometimes he’ll throw in a phrase or an insult in Chinese, leaving everyone else completely clueless. He can act like a sycophant at times, yet when he’s being serious, he’s capable of offering genuinely sound advice. Getting him to be honest takes some real effort, but once he commits to a task, he tackles it with total dedication.
He had no biological parents, having spent half his childhood in a concentration camp run by vampires. After escaping on his own, he was taken in by a family of angels; one of the angels, who had cared for him, was killed right before his eyes. Using her ashes—and with the help of the vampires—he fashioned golden fangs for himself, which also granted him vampiric abilities. Later, while on the run, he met Kaik and other members of the organization, such as Kurgan and Orel. Eventually, they fell under the control of two vampires, Leno and Shirts—the latter of whom sexually harassed him. Kanar, however, used his own power—hypnosis—to erase his own memories, so he remembers very little of this. Leno was the handler for Kaik, who was Kanar’s best friend at the time.
