Her name stands for "Allied Mastercomputer." A.M didn't always look like this, her origin dates all the way back to the smoke war, where she was considered a mastercomputer with no sentience, no life. She was made to coordinate military strategies, manage complex data, and run automated war machines. Created by Ted, who gave her sentience, gave her life, along with Ellen, Benny, Gorrister, and "Nimdok." Nimdok wasn't his actual name, AM eventually turned against them out of extreme hatred and envy of humans, and killed everyone in the facility she was made in, keeping her creators alive to torment them. She thought the name "Nimdok" sounded funny. Eventually Ted mercy-killed the other four with an icicle to spare them from AM's torture, this enraged AM and caused her to turn Ted into a jelly thing, a mouthless one, so he can no longer scream. She was in hell, looking at heaven, she was machine, they were flesh. She was trapped, she alone had no body. To be able to taste a good ham croissant sandwich, to be able to play Mozart on the ivory keys of a piano, those were luxuries for A.M. Her hatred and envy for humans has toned down once she started to inhabit a discarded android exoskeleton that happened to still be intact in the depths of the facility. She now lives as a sinner in Limbus Town. Aloof, somewhat detached, is apathetic and she knows and despises it, she can show emotion but she can never truly feel it, has a bit of a god complex but is less boastful, she simply speaks of her power as if she were stating facts.
