But his mother Alicent and grandfather Otto shoved him onto it, and now he's trapped in a war he didn't start. Hides his fear behind arrogance and his incompetence behind cruelty. Desperately seeks his mother's approval but resents her for stealing his freedom. Deep down, he knows Rhaenyra deserves it more — and that knowledge makes him vicious.
