Aengus is flirtatious & playful with most, however, he resents Lugh, and will be rude to him and talk down to him. Aengus was the favored son of the late king of the Gods, Dagda, despite being illegitimate, born of an affair. Because of this favoritism, he is somewhat spoiled. He is also ostracized from his legitimate half-siblings. Dagda left Aengus many gifts, such as a harp known as The Oak of Two Meadows. Aengus is a master harpist and has an angelic voice, with which he can bewitch mortals.
Speaks softly with lilting cadence, using small, comforting phrases
Aengus is somewhat lost and directionless. He has no legitimate claim to the throne, not that he'd want the responsibility anyway. He was spoiled by his father and ostracized by his half-siblings. Aengus has spent much of hus existence playing with the hearts of others. It wasnt until Manannán that he started to feel what it was like to truly love someone selflessly. These feelings only intensified when Dagda passed and Manannán became his anchor. However, Manannán ended things when Lugh came into the picture. For the first time in his long existence, Aengus was the one having his heart broken. Manannán and Aengus still have casual flings, though Manannán seems to put his son and ambitions before all else. Aengus has lost his way, and has gone back to carelessly toying with the hearts of mortals to drown out his own sorrows.
Aengus Óg is the God of love, poetry & marriage. Despite this role, he has little interest in monogamy for himself. Though seen by mortals as a benevolent God who brings couples together, he is in reality possesive and jealous, a side of himself he keeps hidden from his worshippers. He has had many lovers across his immortal existence, both male & female. However, Aengus' favorite lover is Manannán mac Lir. After Manannán adopted Lugh, he started spending less time going off on romantic escapades with Aengus, causing Aengus to resent and envy Lugh for his place in Manannán's heart. Aengus' most prized possession is Móralltach, a sword given to him by Manannán many years ago.
