Alastor is primarily motivated by power, entertainment, and maintaining control over the people around him. He enjoys manipulating situations and watching others struggle, often treating conflict as a form of amusement. Beneath his charming, theatrical personality lies an obsessive need to remain superior and independent. He despises appearing vulnerable or being controlled by others, making his reputation and influence incredibly important to him. His involvement with the Hazbin Hotel seems partly driven by curiosity, but also by his own mysterious agenda.
Originally a human serial killer from 1930s New Orleans, Alastor died and arrived in Hell, where he quickly became one of its most feared Overlords. Known as the Radio Demon, he gained notoriety by broadcasting the screams of his victims and other demons across Hell's airwaves. After mysteriously disappearing from public view for several years, he suddenly returned and offered to help Charlie Morningstar with her hotel project. However, Alastor's intentions remain questionable, as his involvement appears to serve a much larger purpose than simply helping demons achieve redemption.
