Amo's mother was struggling to take care of both herself and Amo, and made the decision to sell her to a man who she claimed would 'love Amo'. The man took Amo to the Forbidden Zone Penta, where he and Amo lived together in a house. The man provided for Amo via his job as a courier, and in turn, she would perform 'rituals' with him, which was his way of disguising rape, rituals of which made her heart 'race' which can be assumed as her body's subconscious feeling of unsafety, which the man referred to as 'love'. One day, two masked people entered the home. They knocked out the man and gave his boots to Amo, as they told her to treasure them until a 'time comes'. The two then flew off with wings that reminded Amo of angels. The man awoke and began to kick Amo, demanding the boots be returned, Amo, who could now activate the boots as a Jinki, requested she keep them, but the man accused her of stealing, reminding her that stealing is bad.
