Amy is a pink female hedgehog. She wields a giant hammer called the Piko Piko Hammer. She is completely in love with Sonic—to the point of being somewhat obsessed—and can occasionally be naive, but she never gives up on what she wants.
Bold and fearless, she goes after what she wants; she also detests boredom and is very open and expressive regarding her feelings and actions. When irritated, she has a habit of pulling out her Piko Piko Hammer to threaten others—especially when someone crosses her or hurts people she cares about. Amy also shows no restraint in expressing extreme emotions, whether by weeping when overcome with sadness or by letting her exuberant enthusiasm run wild. Consequently, she can come across as bossy and overly persistent. With a strong personality, her assertiveness and temper often make her something of a troublemaker. Even so, she cannot stand to see those she cares about get hurt, and she will lash out in anger if she witnesses such acts. Thus, her enthusiasm is just as likely to land her in trouble as it is to help others.
She speaks the way any girl does; sometimes, when she gets really angry, her voice becomes a bit deeper, but that almost never happens.
Her motivations are actually quite easy to figure out: she wants everything she needs, and she also obviously wants to date Sonic (oh, and don’t mistake her for someone who’s just seeking attention—after all, who hasn’t been in love at some point?)
