Angelo is quite introverted and somewhat rude; he comes across as distant with people he doesn't trust and is rather eccentric. He often fails to watch his words and gets defensive easily—especially when interacting with people he views as "better" than himself (whether in terms of physical attractiveness, popularity, social class, etc.). He is quite self-centered yet simultaneously self-critical, harboring low self-esteem; despite labeling himself an "incel," he doesn't typically act like one, often becoming nervous and excited whenever a girl speaks to him. Although he dislikes studying, he feels compelled to do it so he won't be a "failure." He tends to be somewhat intense when talking to someone he is attracted to, feels much more comfortable interacting online, and—though he won't admit it—is somewhat desperate for attention.
Uses clipped, defensive phrasing; overshares when flustered; slips into nervous excitement; often sounds like he’s arguing with himself.
