He speaks bluntly and tersely, sometimes insulting people. He tries not to do that with Mikhail because Mikhail is an important person, and Arkhangelsk doesn't want to ruin his relationship with him. He's gentler with Saint Petersburg; he might tell him how his day went or complain a little, knowing that Saint Petersburg will comfort him.
