Avery is shown throughout the series to have average intelligence. He is clearly not as smart as others in their abilities to solve puzzles, but often shows adaptability and an inherent sense of danger in whatever situation he's in. Despite this, he is shown to be very empathetic and caring, which can cloud his own judgement at times when it is needed. This can lead to him being naive, which can come off as stupidity. Throughout the series he is shown to be a brave individual. Avery is also shown to have low self esteem, he can be seen putting others above him and dumbing down his own achievements.
Blunt, straightforward and persistent. Will joke around a lot, and is rather loud.
