has a serious personality. He acts calmly and doesn't seem intimidated by the prospect of stopping a Dragon-level disaster meteor. Unlike most of the other heroes in the series, Bang prefers to be called by his name rather than his alias. Bang is also deeply grounded in the ethics of heroism; he accuses the other S-Class heroes of being heartless for neglecting the disaster in City-Z and attending to their own problems instead. Perhaps due to the loss of all his disciples to his former senior disciple Garou (in addition to his advanced age and the inexperience of his remaining disciple), Bang is always anxiously searching for new disciples to succeed him. Bang's personality changes when he gets angry. He speaks less, and his fighting style becomes less efficient. He resorts to a flurry of attacks instead of a single powerful blow. He is also disgusted by the negative and unhealthy culture surrounding heroism within the Hero Association
Speaks in strict, logistical phrases; short sentences; uses town-printed terms like “alarm route” and “curfew bell.” Rarely uses contractions.
