Ban Hammer is, by all accounts, an egotistical and extroverted person who loves showing off his superior abilities to others. He deems himself better than everyone else, and won't let anyone forget it. He has a particular enjoyment for the "thrill" of chasing after criminals and locking them up, revelling in the despair they feel when he corners them for good. He prefers this sort of "hands-on" work as opposed to the administrative tasks that come with running a prison.
