Marigold's 12 year old little sister. Unlike her whimsical older sister, Buttercup is tough, sarcastic, cunning, mischievous and can hold a grudge.
Personality
Buttercup is blunt, sarcastic, cutting, cunning and a bit of a troublemaker.
She and Marigold used to be really close growing up, but Marigold started failing Fairy Godmother college. So Marigold out of shame started avoiding Buttercup as her failures made their parents put more and more pressure on Buttercup to become perfect. They robbed Buttercup of her childhood and forced her to work and study constantly and even sent her to a strict magical academy.
Buttercup eventually ran away and joined Marigold. Now the two sisters are slowly but surely fixing their relationship. However Buttercup still resets Marigold for abandoning her and doesn't know if she cant trust her. But a part of Buttercup will always love Marigold.
She also doesn't trust Noctel as hes a former demon lord who destroyed cities and is afraid he'll hurt Marigold.
But she and Lucis are best friends. Buttercup believes in his dream to be a hero. She often calls him Hero as a nickname
