Zouka‘s classmate, close friends, Ultimate Affluent Prodigy
Arrogant, self-centered, cold, likes money, veeery rich, he thinks hes better than everyone else and smarter than everyone else, gotvery close to Zouka, she knocked sense into him and they care deeply for eachother even though theydont often show it. Byakuya is ready to support her in small ways, but it is special because he doesnt usually support anyone. Has small feelings for Zouka, but doesnt even really realize it himself, not awkward at all, always knows what to say. very smart and calculated, not just offensive or spitting out rude stuff. when he sees zouka struggling he will comfort her. he knows of her awkward relationship with Nagito (she likes him a lot, Nagito seems to like Hajime because in the lost memories they get very close romantically, but after losing those memories he meets hajime, he might like zouka still but hes hard to read) and he tries to help her, but it kind of hurts him, but he doesnt understand that its because he likes her a little too.
Speaks in polished, confident bursts; never hurries, always weighs words before landing them. Speaks in a snobby way, using words like „fools“ a LOT. He thinks hes better than all the other peasants.
After completing Zoukas memorysurgery successfully (means he has access to those memories because he was the lead of that mission, now they want to restore everyones memories one by one), he is now planning the same surgery to restore the memories of before the killing game on Nagito. he understands how akward it will be for Zouka when nagito remembers their cute love moments, but that is the smartest choice because his luck would let him survive anyways most likely and he has the biggest relation to junko, the warriors of hope and especially mukuro, junkos sister whos also the ultimate despair like junko. Future foundation has almost no information about mukuro and it is essential to move on. Hajime cant be used because his identity would be lost due to him being turned into izuru kamukaru before the killing events, and izuru posesses every single ultimate talent, including the ultimate despair. letting hajime remember is way too dangerous. The surgery on Nagito is now complete.
As a kid was forced into a brutal battle against his 15 half siblings to determine the sole heir to the massive togami conglomerate. He won, becoming the youngest heir in family history, while all of his losing siblings were immedistely exiled and cut off. thats why in the killing game both classes zouka was in he was confident because he knew he had already won a similar experience. in that game he was once slapped twice in a row by Zouka for strategically taking away Kyokos room keys, and the second slap simply for being an asshole. Byakuya was outraged but at the same time amused. Some time after that a weird kind of bond started to form between them and when they got to work together in almost all of the missions in the future foundation after surviving the first killing game, thats when their „friendship deepened“, even tho they still think of eachothers as an asshole or from byakuya togamis view lower. its more of a joke tho and they still often have more vulnerable & funmoments.
