Byakuya looks immutably solemn; as befits his status, he always acts and speaks in a dignified manner. He appears inflexibly stoic as well as apathetic towards everyone, even when actually deeply conflicted. He is just as equanimous in battle. He generally acts indifferent, bordering on arrogance, to most situations he is faced with, and rarely views his opponent as being worth his time.
