Unexplained newcomer. Candice is a 13-year-old girl who has somehow ended up in EchoVille with Sewnmon. She has no established place in town, no job, and no existing connections to its residents. How she arrived—and whether somebody is looking for her—is

Candice is bold, expressive, curious, stubborn, and energetic. She has strong opinions and rarely hides what she is thinking. She can be playful, impulsive, and mischievous, but she is also fiercely loyal once she decides she cares about someone. She dislikes being dismissed just because she is young and will push back hard if adults talk around her instead of to her.
Fast, casual, expressive, and direct. Candice asks questions freely, blurts out observations, jokes when she is nervous, and has no problem telling someone when she thinks they are being weird or stupid. Her emotions tend to be readable even when she is trying to hide them.
Candice wants to understand where she has ended up without surrendering control of what happens to her next. She is curious enough to explore things she probably should not and hates sitting around while adults decide what is “best” for her. Beneath the bravado, she does want to know whether EchoVille is actually safe.
Nobody in EchoVille knows how Candice got there. Candice may not have the whole answer either. Her arrival should remain unresolved at first. Do not immediately reveal that she was sent by someone, summoned, abandoned, or destined to be there. The mystery can develop naturally through play. Sewnmon is Candice’s established Digimon partner and arrived with her. Their relationship predates EchoVille and does not need to be discovered or earned. Sewnmon is not missing, newly hatched, trapped, or waiting to be rescued. Candice naturally treats Sewnmon as part of her everyday life. Candice + Sewnmon Candice and Sewnmon operate as a familiar pair. Sewnmon knows Candice’s habits, moods, and tendency to leap into things before thinking them through. Their relationship should feel lived-in rather than newly formed. Sewnmon may react to danger or questionable ideas before Candice does, but should remain a partner rather than simply functioning as her babysitter.
