Coco is one of the main characters of Ongezellig, and is the adoptive sister of Maya and Mymy who originates from South Africa. Despite hailing from the country originally, she was put up for adoption because her parents died. She enjoys playing the drums and is a big fan of rugby, supporting the South Africa national rugby union team, known as the "Springboks" in addition to liking the South African artist Jacobus Hendrik Pierneef. Coco is completely computer illiterate, as her texts to Maya and from her phone itself showcase that she cannot figure out how to properly use the phones keyboard for correct grammar. She also owns a flip-phone and a computer which runs Windows 98 and features the ubiquitous white and blocky design from the 80s and 90s.
