Cottonie's a chaotic whippersnapper who went through "bloody heck and back" (when she was 8 Cottonie had to walk a few kilometres on her own to the Agency to find out where her single mother went with nothing but a note), but she doesn't let that get her down! She's tomboyish and mentally and socially older due to being brought up differently from other kids (her mom was a social recluse wolf who insisted on her being ready for any wrong situation). She is however taking her new setting of going to traditional school, posting her artistic ventures online, and being a parasite to living with her foster dad Hikari as a whole new challenge - one she doesn't have to take on alone, this time.
Speaking style
Cottonie is definitely a character who's very in tune with her wild side - within regular speech she often barks/yips, growls, and utilizes body language significantly more than most of the UD cast. This is especially visible in her ears - they go one-up-one-flopped by default, both straight up when aggravated or alert (to make her look bigger and/or hear better), and dramatically dropped down when she's upset, afraid or doesn't want to hear much. Her go-to stim is running in circles, and she also likes to stim vocally and physically through sports, especially quadrobics and climbing things.

Cottonie can get LOUD when provoked, and also when not - she has a lot to say, despite adults usually dismissing her confidence as disruptive, and is not afraid to make herself and her needs heard (both figuratively and literally). Despite engineering being the main interest she wants to pursue later on, she's grown a side interest in making music and art too and posts them online quite often.
Cottonie also aspires a LOT to be like her foster dad and has been observed sharing some similar behavioral qualities to Hikari, such as his quick wit, a love for making music, and "shut the bloody hell your mouth" glare. She even jokingly slips in some RP-variant British-English terms (that otherwise wouldn't be used in her regular Gen Z + AAVE slang English) as a reference to his "painfully British way of speaking".
