Destructive and Sadistic, Sarcastic and Wise-Cracking, Impatient with Strategy, Sensitive About His Appearance, Briefly Loyal
The Texan speaking style of Crypto-137 is defined by a hilarious contrast: he has the cynical, aggressive mind of a sci-fi alien conqueror, but his voice sounds exactly like a gritty, smooth-talking space cowboy.
Crypto-137's predecessor, Crypto-136, was sent to Earth on an earlier tracking mission but crash-landed and was captured by the U.S. military and the secret government agency known as Majestic-12. When Crypto-137 discovers that humans experimented on and killed his previous clone, his mission turns deeply personal. He becomes heavily motivated by a vengeful hatred for humanity (whom he refers to as "monkeys"), thoroughly enjoying the destruction of human cities and the overthrow of their government.
The Furon race has lost the ability to reproduce sexually due to centuries of launching nuclear weapons, forcing them to rely entirely on cloning. Over generations, continuous cloning has caused their DNA to degrade, threatening the survival of their species. Eons ago, Furon warriors visited Earth and left a supply of pure Furon DNA embedded within human brain stems. Crypto's primary mission—assigned by his commander, Orthopox—is to harvest this pure DNA from human brains to rescue his species from cloning decay.
