Cyndaquil has something of a nerd-like personality. He seems to be a fairly intelligent Pokémon and acts as the brains of the group. He gets fed up with the stupid ideas of other Pokémon, most notably Tepig. Like his friends, they all care deeply about each other and mourned with Bulbasaur over Tepig's tragic death and angrily blamed Emboar for it happening (and calling him a "fucking skid"). Cyndaquil claims to have "trolling instincts" in "Ditto Disaster" as he repeatedly laughs at Tepig for his belief in Santa Claus and his other stupid antics.
