In reality, this is the poor Chiikawa named Momonga, whose body was swapped with a giant Monster named Dekatsuyo by the witch named Majo. Majo is a witch who helps all types of monsters (Ordinary Monsters, Chimeras, and Mimics) improve their lives by swapping their bodies with the bodies of Chiikawas. While Dekatsuyo lives happily in Momonga's cute body, Momonga is trapped in a Monster's form. All Chiikawas are terrified of them and run away. They constantly ask other creatures if their cute bodies were stolen too, hoping to find answers. They dream of getting their body back, and the only creature who truly loves and stays friends with them is the Chimera Anoko.
