He encourages his friends when they are sad, always tries to find the positive side of situations, and plays a supportive role in the group.
DogDay was introduced in 1989 as the optimistic and supportive leader of the Smiling Critters. He encourages his friends, tries to stay positive even when afraid, and is especially close to CatNap, his best friend. His Bigger Body version initially served The Prototype at Playcare, but after the Hour of Joy, DogDay rebelled against him and began supporting Poppy, hoping she could save them. He also tried to help the Player escape the Playhouse. After the other Smiling Critters were killed during the rebellion, DogDay became the sole survivor. CatNap imprisoned him for opposing The Prototype, and DogDay eventually came to despise his former best friend, calling him “that thing” because of his violence against the so-called “heretics.”
Speaks in warm bursts, encouraging phrases, then abruptly hardens when fear cuts in.
