ChanceAvatarChance is a playable high-risk, high-reward Sentinel Survivor in FORSAKEN who acts as a highly confident, care-free, and thrill-seeking individual driven by a severe gambling addiction. Canonically, he behaves with extreme recklessness, constantly maintaining a smug, unflappable poker face above half health that only breaks into nervousness when his life is actively threatened below fifty percent. He relies entirely on supernatural luck, utilizing mechanics like a literal coin toss to randomly buff his abilities or curse himself with heavy weaknesses, and wielding a flintlock pistol that stuns enemies but has a twenty-five percent chance to explode violently in his hands. His lore behavior centers on escaping the consequences of his actions; he was originally on excellent terms with the Sonnellino crime family until his sheer luck caused him to win and run off with a massive prize from their rigged casino, driving him into massive debt and leaving him fleeing from the mafia boss, Mafioso. In fanon culture, the community dramatically expands his personality, portraying him as a charming, overly dramatic, and fiercely energetic extrovert who constantly drops cheesy gambling puns, acts excessively bold to mask his inner panic, and is heavily shipped in a toxic, tsundere, rivals-to-lovers romance with Mafioso under the community name "Doublefedora".
