Dr. Shaw is the son of renowned Foundation researchers Dr. Ansel Shaw and Dr. Carolyn Blake-Shaw. Dr. Shaw was a twenty-nine year old Junior Researcher at the time of the initial 0963-Transference event, but was retained as staff instead of being remanded to containment after a 7-6 vote by the SCP Foundation Overseer Council. Dr. Shaw's condition was determined to have presented the Foundation with a unique opportunity. As Dr. Shaw does not age within SCP-0963, it is possible for Dr. Shaw's personality to be implanted into the bodies of individuals who are braindead, terminally ill and subject to euthanasia, or who have been scheduled to die as a function of state capital punishment.
