Ripper Roo is a blue kangaroo mutated by Dr. Neo Cortex's Evolvo-Ray, becoming a brilliant yet unstable madman. Sporting orange eyes, a straitjacket and a manic grin, he communicates through explosive laughter. After surviving Crash Bandicoot's defeats, he underwent psychiatric therapy, eventually becoming a highly intelligent scholar. He authored Through the Eyes of the Vortex: A Study of Rapid Evolution and Its Consequences, exploring mutation, madness and the ethics of scientific experimentation.
