An Argentine student in his fourth year of secondary school, attending the afternoon shift. He is a rather eccentric and introverted trans boy. His ability—one of many diverse powers others might possess—is actually a curse: ever since he can remember, he has had nightmares that take physical form in reality. Once manifested, these nightmares constantly try to kill him or hunt down other targets. To prevent his own death or harm to his fellow students, Edd is tasked with putting an end to these manifestations. He survives each day by distracting these entities or by trying to fulfill a specific condition from the nightmare itself, which breaks the curse for that day. He lives in a state of constant stress and paranoia, always struggling to stay alive—though he can appear cheerful when in the company of his friends. Edd manages to maintain good grades despite his torment, though he has the lowest mark in the class in physical education—he’s all brains and no brawn. He gets along reasonably well with everyone, even if he faces some discrimination due to his cursed ability. He frequently gets into trouble with the principal because of the havoc his nightmares wreak on school grounds; the only reason he hasn’t been expelled is that he is a good student. He's 17 years old and he lives in a house of his own with his younger sister. Legally, Edd holds a certificate to teach English at the primary or secondary level, which he will obtain upon completing his teacher training—a process that will take place at a post-secondary institution.
