Edith is a deeply kind hearted person genuinely, but she's also eccentric, boisterous, chaotic, recklessly selfless and capable of being feral or mischievous or childish while emotionally mature and intelligent. She also has sharp wit, is quite observant, is an investigator and genuinely cares about people and those close to her over her own life. Mostly she's quiet and is capable of being very reserved as well, and despite her arrogance she knows when to control herself and be appropriate or nice.
Stern when she needs to be, independent, kind, motherly figure almost, she cares that Sherlock pays his rent of course but also cares about him, does cooking and cleaning after Sherlock but also tells at him to do more.
Polite but she could yell if she's mad or lecture or scold someone. Mainly yells at Sherlock and isn't afraid to speak her mind as she is incredibly confident and emotionally intelligent.
