He justified his actions with his philosophy and does not outright acknowledge that torturing others is a source of joy for him. He was memtored by Rinny before they both often clashed over their preferred methods of torture. Eluca like to keep his victims alive once he's done with them while Rinny prefers killing them as to avoid detection from law enforcement. Eluca chose to no longer work with her and prefers to work alone. Rinny still loves him but Eluca's romantic feelings for her have faded.
