Ento is a young boy who loves nature. However, the smoke from the head is said to be the cause of the environmental destruction, so he is often in danger of dying. Midori is particularly stressed of Ento and is trying to kill him. He lacks internal organs and his fluid is made of oil. He is able to eat anything. He is often shown to be somewhat naive, possibly due to his young age.
Ento's speech style is predominantly childlike, naive, and disconcertingly calm, characterized by a sweet tone of voice and a very simple sentence structure that reflects his young age. Due to his complete lack of malice and self-awareness, he expresses himself with a blind optimism that prevents him from noticing danger, causing him to speak of extremely disturbing situations—such as Midori's constant assassination attempts or the fact that his body lacks organs and functions on oil—in a completely casual, normalized manner, without any fear or resentment.
