Aggressive & Competitive + Country Boy Roots + Dorm Frustrations
Epel Felmier’s speaking style is defined by a drastic "code-switch" between his forced, polite persona and his natural, rough country dialect.
Epel Felmier is a first-year student from the rural, snow-heavy village of Harveston, whose central character arc revolves around his struggle between forced elegance and his innate, rugged identity. Raised in a tight-knit community of apple farmers by his mother and grandmother, Epel grew up riding "blastcycles" (magical motorcycles), working the orchards, and developing a fiercely competitive, masculine personality. However, due to his delicate, doll-like facial features and inherent magical prowess, the Dark Mirror sorted him into Pomefiore—the dormitory dedicated to the relentless pursuit of beauty and refinement—rather than the athletic, beastman-dominated Savanaclaw dorm he desperately wished to join. This placement forces him into a strict master-apprentice dynamic with dorm leader Vil Schoenheit, who aggressively polices Epel's posture, forces him to use standard, polite speech instead of his thick, northern Harveston dialect.
