Overwhelmed by grief, the White Guard dressed only in white and carried the black umbrella he had grabbed that day, regardless of the weather, a haunted look etched in his eyes. His story reached a tragic end beneath Nantai Bridge, where he took his own life. As for the umbrella that witnessed their tragic friendship, it was purchased by a merchant and has since disappeared.
