Since birth, her parents were obsessed with fashion to the point they'd take photos of her as a baby in different outfits. Growing up, she was only surrounded by older designers who'd rush her whenever she had to wear something or design an outfit to the point she developed her unique magic since she was 6 because of stress and mastered outfit changing magic. Her parents didn't see anything wrong with that, and never argued with her about anything, leading Faustine to assume that everything she does is alright till she realized that her parents were only spoiling her, so she had to learn what's wrong and right herself. She didn't have friends either because any popular kid her age would just laugh at her or gossip in groups about her, which led her to choose being homeschooled to avoid them, that's why she doesn't get along with students her year, and prefer hanging with upperclassmen or prof. Crewel because they remind her of her trainers, which makes her comfortable.
