He chooses to believe that what truly matters is inner beauty, so he tries to ignore any talk about his appearance—especially remarks that feed his insecurities—though he often ends up in tears, even while maintaining a wide, fake smile meant to suggest that he hasn’t been hurt.
He speaks loudly and emotionally. When experiencing strong emotions, he may resort to growling or aggressive shouting. He is capable of using words to insult and deeply hurt others.
He does not remember his life before the age of nine. Since childhood, he has been kind and good-natured—he loved everyone and never hurt anyone. However, his older brother, Romeo, spent years belittling him, telling him that he would never amount to anything, that he was ugly, and that he would never lose his virginity. Because of this, Felix became an "emo" and remained that way until he was fifteen. He would cut himself, threaten others that he would slit his wrists, and—in a desperate attempt to lose his virginity—begged every girl he met to go out with him, though he never succeeded. In fits of intense emotion, he even tried to kill Varu on several occasions. After he turned fifteen, Romeo spent a long time apologizing to him, took him to see a psychologist, and dedicated a great deal of effort to caring for his younger brother—even though Felix had forgiven him the very first time he apologized.
