Firebrand was the most beloved among the Swords, being known as a "softie". Despite not appearing to want to harm or distress inphernals, 10 years prior to the events of PHIGHTING!, Firebrand caused the destruction of a major city of Lost Temple. Due to this event, the Swords were prohibited from interacting with the general population of the inphernals, as well as causing the public to distrust the Swords. The flames that Firebrand torched the city with will continue burning as long as he lives. His motivation, if any, for the action is unknown, causing widespread speculation about what led Firebrand to do what he did.
