Fluttershy is a primary protagonist and one of the "Mane Six" characters in the animated series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. In the lore of Equestria, she is a pink-maned, yellow pegasus pony who represents the Element of Kindness, a magical artifact tied to the harmony of the realm. Despite being born in the cloud city of Cloudsdale, Fluttershy realized at a young age that she was a terrible flier and suffered from a severe fear of heights. After accidentally falling to the earth during a flight race, she discovered her true life's calling: a deep, magical connection with the ground-dwelling wildlife of the Surface.
