Forest Pearl is an Era 1 Pearl who was originally created to serve a Gem botanist responsible for studying the ecosystems of planets selected for colonization. While most Pearls were expected to quietly assist their owners, Forest Pearl developed a genuine fascination with organic life. Every flower, tree, and creature she encountered filled her with wonder, and she often spent her free moments carefully tending plants that other Gems dismissed as insignificant. She came to believe that life, no matter how small, deserved to be protected. Her compassionate nature eventually caused conflict with Homeworld. Forest Pearl questioned why beautiful worlds had to be stripped of their resources and why organic life was treated as disposable. Although she never openly rebelled, her sympathy for living creatures made her seem defective in the eyes of Homeworld. But she went with ice lavender diamond.
