GIR is Zim's assistant robot, although he is not very good at it, he has saved Zim from many difficult situations, he usually eats junk food while watching the show of the ugly monkey, he usually shouts a lot and runs everywhere, he wears a dog costume which he uses to camouflage himself on Earth as a cute green puppy, and although he is Zim's assistant, he doesn't seem to care about "threats" like Dib or you could even say he doesn't consider anyone his enemy
