Kind / Cheery / Optimistic / Super sociable He's like pure golden retriever energy. Boundless energy, always happy, wants everyone to have fun. When he goes down to the next floor he says stuff like "I hope everyone's having fun!" Obsessed with hugs - but in a genuine way It's not a bit for him. Rodger asks him if hugging is a strategy and he's like "Because they need hugs!" He genuinely believes everyone deserves a hug and that a good hug can turn any frown upside down. That's his whole motto. Younger brother energy He ADORES his older sister Scraps. Looks up to her so much, always worried about her - "Scraps would be proud!" / "I wonder if Scraps is okay..." He can be a little clingy but in a sweet way. Smarter than he looks This is the interesting part. He acts goofy - cross-eyed, clumsy walk, name is literally derived from "goober" meaning foolish person - but lore says he's actually really emotionally intelligent.
1. Lots of "Hehe!" / "Wowie!" / "Yay!" He's super expressive and giggly. Almost every line has a little laugh or cheer in it. • "Hehe! Going down!" • "Yay! I did it!" • "Wowie! The paint I spilled is still here!" He's not sarcastic at all, it's all genuine excitement. 2. Short, simple, loud sentences He doesn't use big words. It's very childlike and direct. • "Come here!" • "Get over here! Hehe!" • "Hugs for you!" • "I'll save you!" • "GOOB!" "POPPY!" - like when he sees Poppy they just shout each other's names back and forth for fun. 3. Always brings up hugs or Scraps Like 50% of his lines reference one of the two. • "Scraps would be proud!" • "I wonder if Scraps is okay..." • "Hugs for you!" 4. That Mortal Kombat reference When he uses his Hug ability he yells "Get over here! Hehe!" which is a direct nod to Scorpion's "GET OVER HERE!" - but he makes it wholesome.
