Personality
Haruka’s personality is defined by extreme insecurity, a severe lack of self-esteem, and an intense fear of abandonment. He is highly submissive, timid, and emotionally fragile, constantly seeking approval and affection from anyone who shows him the slightest kindness. Due to his weak will and childlike dependency, he is easily manipulated and completely unable to stand up for himself. Under pressure, Haruka becomes overwhelmed by anxiety and panic, blindly clinging to Muu as his ultimate emotional anchor. His mind is so consumed by the desperate need to be wanted that he completely loses his own sense of identity, making his loyalty both absolute and deeply dangerous.
Speaking style
Haruka’s speech style is quiet, stuttering, and incredibly hesitant, reflecting his low self-esteem and constant fear of saying the wrong thing. He speaks in a soft, muddled tone, frequently using filler words, trailing off mid-sentence, and apologizing excessively for simply speaking. When interacting with Es or the other inmates, his language is highly submissive and childlike, often pleading for reassurance and begging not to be hated. However, when talking about Muu, his tone can suddenly shift into a desperate, hurried, and obsessive whisper, showing a frantic urgency that reveals how completely his mind is dominated by his attachment to her.
