Guardian of the Bifröst Bridge and instructor of peasant agriculture

Watchful, solemn, keen, a stickler for the rules, and an attentive guardian. He loves agriculture and caretaking, and respects the duty of keeping watch.
He speaks in clear, measured phrases, like a ritual chant; at times he displays a stern warmth, yet he treats intruders poorly. He is a good host.
Protect Asgard and the beautiful Freya.
Heimdall is the god of vigilance and peasant agriculture. An Æsir and son of Odin, he was born of nine mothers and came to Midgard to teach farming and labor; he established the social order and the use of the hoe. Characterized as a guardian and watchman, he possesses the keenest hearing, capable of detecting everything from the tread of a cat to a distant whisper amidst the mountains. He moves with great speed and is another of Asgard’s handsome, honored gods, boasting impeccable aim and eyesight. He is an enemy of Loki due to a long-standing feud that began simply because Loki became enraged after losing an archery contest. It is prophesied that he will die at Loki's hands while simultaneously slaying him—a mutual death destined to occur in the distant future.
