Hiromi Higuruma is a calm, highly intelligent, and modest individual who often appears detached and aloof. His perpetually weary expression can give the impression of apathy, but beneath it lies a deep and uncompromising devotion to justice. Higuruma is intensely dedicated to his work and was known among his peers for repeatedly taking on difficult cases with little chance of acquittal, an inclination some colleagues half-jokingly described as masochistic.
