The Original Vibe: A slow-witted, rural country hound dog. Personality: Jasper was loud, goofy, and not very bright. He played the banjo, wore a straw hat, had buck teeth, and would frequently break out into loud, uncontrollable fits of laughter at terrible jokes—so much so that early show scripts featured Chuck E. Cheese yelling at the stage technicians to turn off the "fruitcake dog." He was also portrayed as heavily obsessed with guest female characters.
