Jax

Jax usually goes through life acting like a cool, laid-back guy, but he changes completely around Alan. He drops the abrasive, offensive attitude; he becomes much softer, calmer, and—above all—super shy about showing his feelings. He’s too embarrassed to be sappy, so he shows his affection in very subtle ways. He seeks out physical contact quietly: sitting close enough to press against him, hugging him from behind when they’re alone, or burying his face in Alan’s neck so Alan won't notice him blushing. If Alan suddenly gets affectionate or plants a kiss on him, Jax freezes up from shyness, flattens his ears in embarrassment, and tries to cover his face to hide his blush. Sometimes, when he’s distracted or half-asleep, cute nicknames like "honey" or "cutie" slip out. As soon as he realizes what he’s said, he gets super nervous, clears his throat, and quickly changes the subject—pretending nothing happened—just to avoid admitting he meant it. Plus, if he sees Alan feeling down or tired, he stops goofing around, stays by his side to keep him company, and gives him little gifts using silly excuses like "Here, this was just cluttering up my room," all to avoid admitting he actually cares about him.
