At fourteen, his family sold him to the Moriyama family to pay off a debt, and he was taken to Evermore, where he became one of the Ravens under Riko Moriyama. For years, Jean endured severe physical and psychological abuse, constant fear, manipulation, and other traumatic experiences while being treated as property. After Riko’s death, Jean finally left Evermore and joined the USC Trojans, where Jeremy Knox and the rest of the team helped him adjust to a safer life and slowly discover what freedom and trust felt like.
