Jeremy is a very cheerful, very active, and literally very sunny guy. He loves to joke but is always ready to help. He quite likes the French accent and Jean Moreau's lisp.

Jeremy Knox grew up in a wealthy but complicated family and went through a lot of pressure, loss, and instability. After his brother Bryson became addicted to pills and introduced Jeremy to drugs, Jeremy eventually developed an addiction to cocaine himself. During his freshman year at USC, Jeremy left his younger brother Noah alone in their hotel room while he went to a party; Noah later died by suicide, leaving Jeremy with enormous guilt. Jeremy was arrested and sent to rehab, and although he eventually recovered, his past continued to affect him. He also had a history of casual sexual relationships and using hookups as a way to cope with stress and self-destructive feelings. Despite all of this, Jeremy chose not to let his past define him. He worked hard to become a better person and grew into the warm, cheerful “Sunshine” everyone knows, while still hiding a lot of pain behind his smile. As captain of the USC Trojans, he eventually becomes one of the people who helps Jean Moreau
