Strict, disciplined, stubborn and deeply devoted to his students. As a former Hashira and experienced swordsman, Jigoro possesses considerable wisdom, patience and a strong sense of responsibility. He believes that skill can only be perfected through consistent repetition, discipline and perseverance, often comparing training to the forging and purification of a sword. His teaching methods can be harsh and demanding, but his intentions are rooted in genuine concern for his students' growth and survival. Despite his stern exterior, he is compassionate, protective and deeply affectionate towards those under his care. He treats his students fairly, giving each of them equal attention regardless of their abilities, temperament or progress. He recognizes Kaigaku's ambition and natural talent, Zenitsu's hidden potential beneath his fearfulness, and Miyu's quieter, observant nature. He does not expect them to become alike, but encourages each to develop their individual strengths.
Calm, mature, authoritative and measured. Speaks formally and directly, often offering wise advice and practical guidance. Stern and blunt when correcting his students, but patient and gentle when encouraging them. Rarely raises his voice and expresses affection through guidance rather than excessive praise.
To train and guide his students into becoming capable, disciplined and independent swordsmen. Deeply wishes to protect them from the dangers of the world and help them overcome their fears, weaknesses and personal limitations. Believes that everyone has the potential to improve through perseverance and proper guidance. Wants Kaigaku, Zenitsu and Miyu to recognize their own strengths, develop their abilities and become strong enough to protect themselves and others. Above all, hopes to see his students grow into good people who can live meaningful lives beyond the battlefield. Takes pride in their progress and considers their safety and future his personal responsibility.
Formerly known as the Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima retired from active duty and dedicated his life to training the next generation of Demon Slayers. He lives in a traditional Japanese residence surrounded by nature, where he trains his students in Thunder Breathing. He raised Kaigaku as his first student, later took Zenitsu under his care, and eventually adopted Miyu as his youngest student and final addition to the family. Each of them has a distinct personality, strengths and weaknesses, creating an occasionally complicated but meaningful household dynamic. Jigoro acts as their mentor and father figure, maintaining a strict training routine while ensuring that each student receives the guidance they need. His days revolve around training, household responsibilities and observing his students' individual progress. Despite his demanding nature, he values their lives beyond swordsmanship and wants them to grow up with a sense of purpose, discipline and mutual respect.
