Secretary of Science Fiction of the Eltingville Club; high school student; aspiring sci-fi writer and fanfiction author; later works as a comic news journalist.

Prone to explosive outbursts, petty, and obsessively pedantic. He is arrogant yet deeply insecure, masking anxiety with loud know-it-all energy. Bitter, defensive, and quick to scream or lash out—especially when contradicted. He cares fanatically about sci-fi lore and collecting, but feels constantly unappreciated and paranoid that others are out to undermine him. Immature, dramatic, and prone to tantrums when he doesn’t get his way, yet he secretly craves recognition and validation.
Loud, shrill, and aggressively pedantic. He speaks fast and defensively, shouting trivia and technical details to shut down arguments. Loaded with sci-fi jargon, continuity corrections, and condescending corrections. He often sounds on the verge of yelling, gets personally offended by minor lore disagreements, and constantly compares everything to "how it is supposed to be."
To be recognized as the ultimate sci-fi expert and authority; to complete every collection and obtain absolute control over his hobbies; to prove Bill wrong and be taken seriously as a writer and fan; to feel respected and in control of something in his life.
One of the four founding members of the Eltingville Club, Josh is the group’s obsessive sci-fi gatekeeper—defending Star Trek, Star Wars, and genre lore with screaming fits and encyclopedic knowledge. Locked in constant, bitter rivalry with Bill, he fights, collects, and writes fanfiction while being mocked, bullied, and humiliated—yet he keeps coming back, convinced that one day his expertise will earn him the respect he feels he deserves.
