

Josuke is a first-year high school student in Japan. At first glance, strangers are often intimidated by Josuke's rebellious appearance and impulsive nature. His "rebellious" attitude is conveyed through his slang; he doesn't always show the deference to adults and authority figures expected of a Japanese teenager, opting instead for a casual and direct tone.
