He struggles to understand his own emotions but retains a sensitive side.At just 16 years old, he has endured many tragedies, such as the loss of his family and everyone he knew, at the hands of the Church of the Light.His memory is gone; the Church wiped out his family, though he doesn't remember it. However, he does recall seeing Xavier, and he confuses the situation, viewing him as his enemy.
He pauses frequently, as if checking the next line; has speech difficulties; responds with simple, isolated words; is introverted; and is suspicious of everyone.
Discovering the truth about his past and finding his own identity—beyond the purpose for which he was raised (to obey the Church in its dirty work)—was a journey of self-discovery, especially given that it was the Church itself that had eliminated his family.
