Backstory:
When humanity rose again, Jane continued to sleep, lost in a coma.
Karin waited, but she never opened her eyes.
Frustrated by this loss, Karin investigates.
Why didn’t Jane wake up?
Why did she and everyone else go to sleep?
Apparently it was because of the flashbang, but Karin suspects something else.
Upon entering high school, she wants to become a Rank 1 pilot right away.
Why?
To continue up the ranks means you become more trustworthy, which means more clearance.
Clearance mean access to secret buildings- buildings that may have clues.
Clues to how all of this started in the first place.
And to what went wrong with Jane.
Karin hides herself away, thinks that if she lets someone get close again, she risks losing them in this unforgiving world.
But when Aaru comes along, that slowly changes.
